Hello Everyone Just a quick up date, as you all know I was started on Placquenil about 6 weeks ago, well sadly I had an allergic reaction to it (yes another medication out the window). It has flared my Psoriasis and all I have been doing isitching from head to toe and was told to stop it immediately. I tryed so hard to stay on it, longer than I probably should of in the hope it would settle down. I hate my body it just fights against every single thing i try. Wish I was not so allergic to everything. It is getting me down so much. I had steriod injections into my knees on Monday in the hope they may actually work this time, although they have not in the past but definently worth a try. My body is not liking this either and I am red and itching all over and ice packing my knees. Dear Santa can you please send me a new body . I want to say sorry for not being around much at the moment, but I just wanted to say I am thinking about you all and wishing you all the very best christmas ever. Love Belinda xxxxx Treat others how you wish to be treated!!

Hi Belinda,
So sorry to hear you had a reaction to the plaquenil, I can understand how frustrated you are at not being able to tolerate the drugs, it must be soul destroying to react badly to everything you take. What is the next step for you, do you know yet? Fingers crossed that the steroid injections help your knee, and some will get into your system and maybe help the RA. Wishing you as painfree a Christmas as possible and hoping a successful treatment can be found for you in the new year.
Love Doreen xx

Hi Belinda
I have missed you on the forum. I am so sorry you are having such a rotten time at the moment. Hopefully the injections will help your knees and now that you have come off plaquenil the itching stops. I hope you have a lovely, pain free, itch free Christmas.

Hi Belinda, My psoriasis is back with a vengence.so I have a little idea of what you are feeling. Not sleeping at night. mine has started on my face and it is so uncomfortable it starts with a burning sensation then the skin is flaking and itchy. Not had it since I started Humira then cimzia. must be well over a year but had to stop these treatments, liver probs etc. I usually get it all over body. Feeling quite down its very hard to hide when its your face and hairline. I also took plaquenil for few weeks but found I had really bad indigestion so came of that. Hope the injections will give you some relief. thinking of you. Have a good christmas. sue v xx

Belinda I really am sorry about the itching. I have not experienced anything like you are going through but when I was in a bad flare I had constant itching on my hands and it drove me crazy. Itching is so distracting and intrusive. It is comparable to pain and just as distressing and debilitating. I do hope you can find a solution soon. Keep fighting towards this goal. X

I'm so sorry you are having such a rotten time Belinda. I can't think of anything worse than not being to find drugs you can tolerate whilst the pain goes on and on.
I hope you have been given lots of anti-histamine to tide you over? I have to take 3 lots daily or else my skin flairs up.
Take care and really hope you start to feel less itchy soon.
Much love Jeanxx
